Jocelyn and Shabnam began their careers as marketing and public relations practitioners, bringing a wealth of hands-on experience to the table. With extensive expertise in the industries they serve, they are committed to ensuring your hiring process is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Jocelyn and Shabnam got their start at Bloom, Gross & Associates, a premier executive recruiting firm serving the marketing, communications, and PR industries. They are excited to come together again to bring the same level of service and commitment to clients nationwide seeking to fill roles focused on marketing, communications and public relations.
Shabnam Singh
Shabnam has 30 years of combined executive search and marketing industry experience. She has enjoyed building and maintaining relationships with her candidates and clients while working in executive search. She has placed candidates in both marketing and communications roles working across industries including financial services, real estate, consumer packaged goods, health care, higher education, technology, and non-profit.
Shabnam began her career in the Chicago advertising scene at DDB and Tatham (now Havas) working on the General Mills and Procter & Gamble accounts. She then joined the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association working on brand strategy. After completing business school, Shabnam worked in brand management for Unilever.
Shabnam received an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a Chicago native who is passionate about her Chicago sports teams, and lives in the Chicago area with her husband and 3 children.
Jocelyn Hecht
Jocelyn’s career spans more than 30 years of executive recruitment and public relations experience. She has established long-term partnerships with many clients across the country, representing Fortune 500 companies, global PR agencies, nonprofit organizations, and start-up companies ranging in size.
She has worked across industries, including consumer products, food and beverage, restaurants and hospitality, corporate communications, financial services, higher education, healthcare, technology, real estate, and the nonprofit sector to identify top communications, PR, and marketing talent.
Prior to recruiting, Jocelyn began her career with two of Chicago’s top agencies; Edelman Public Relations and Wunderman Chicago, where she served in a client service capacity. During her time with these agencies, she immersed herself in consumer product and QSR clientele, including StarKist Tuna, Heinz Pet Products, Taco Bell, PepsiCo and more.
Jocelyn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. A native Bostonian, Jocelyn now lives in the Chicago area with her husband, two sons, and seven-year-old goldendoodle.
